Best Car Yet: VIP Aristo

This is my VIP Toyota Aristo. It is originally one of the LA Luxury series by Aoshima. I added some body work including removal of front grille to expose a scratchbuilt intercooler (i know not typical VIP style but i think its cool). I also added a front lip, and a large whale tail rear spoiler that is molded in and has appropriate trunk lines cut. I added LED headlights as well and Amistad 18" wheels.

I love my interior on this car. It is two tone dark and light greyish. The rest is appropriately painted with shades of black and i molded the seats into one piece rather than the back and front. Unfortunately it is hard to get pictures of it.

The whole body was sprayed with Boyds Smoke Grey Pearl. I have more pictures if you'd like?

So what do you all think? My best one yet? :uhoh::biggrin:

Just awesome! Great work, and I would agree that it is the best you've made so far. The only thing I can think is to add a black wash to the chrome grill (really easy because paint won't stick to the chrome well, just paint it with thin black paint, wait for it to set up, and wipe the paint of the ridges, it will improve the front considerably). But other than that, perfecty! I like the lighting, that'll set the car off on a show table... Keep that business up!

Looks great, but way to low for my tastes

Cool lighting effect! One tip though, you should outline the headlights with black paint to simulate the weatherstrip on real cars.

I'm not to sure about the camber on ther car though. Other than that, looks great.

The camber is adjustable as well as wheel height! The axle arms pivot up and down and at different angles (that is how aoshima designed this kit). Its cool for realistic views but the chassis detail is so-so.

One tip though, you should outline the headlights with black paint to simulate the weatherstrip on real cars.

Yes i was thinking about doing this but last time i tried this on chrome it flaked apart and all peeled off:eek:.

THanks againg everyone!!

Very nice. I like how you did the headlights. Don't forget to add your pic to the VIP meet thread. :D
