No more post-whoring for me :'(

Well the computer system at my office has been infected with viruses on n off over the last few months and what not. So last week they put up a new firewall. With the way things are set up now I will not be able to get on AIM or message boards anymore from work...which was prime post-whoring time for me :( When I get on this or any other board, the system will not retain my login and everytime I click on something I get the screen that says "you are not logged in" or "you are not a registered member". And when I try to get on AIM it won't load up anymore. I don't understand how the network/firewall thing works, but I just know life at the office is gonna suck...now I actually have to do work :lol2:

Anyway, I know most of ya are on at all different times, but I am gonna miss being able to post during the day, and feel like I am going to "miss out on all the action" even though each time period of the day has it's highlights. I have really enjoyed things here at AF and all of you are great! :)

I will check in on evenings (late) and when I can on weekends.

bummer....still it's good that you can still keep in touch......Can't post from work at all due to I.T.policy but they do provide the connection that I use at home.Look forward to hearing from you whenever it suits:)

That is not good news. I have one at work but it sometimes allows me to post, other times it dosn't....dont ask me why :confused: :confused:

Well at least you had it for a time when you could. We have net access at my work but they have removed all the browsers from our pc's and only are able to use emails. Dirty buggers, sux

I got a similar faith I can only check on weekends. But luckly I got holidays now. But not for ever and then it means once a week:(

that just mean you're not cookied, if your browser still lets cookies in you can just log in with your username & password, and everytime you close your browser you're automatically logged out :cool:

Hi everyone...it's late/early (depending on where you are) but I thought I would check in and say HOwdy!


Rev...I still get cookies, but what happens is this...

I go to a forum and login cuz I get the screen saying I am not logged in. So I log in. Then when I find a thread to reply to and hit "reply" I get unlogged...after relogging in I get the page to write my reply, then when I hit send reply same thing happens. I relog in one more time and I get returned to the forum home page and my reply is lost and doesn't even post :( so whatever I types was completely erased or lost out in internet land somewhere.

ah.. I see, so basically your workplace has employed one of those damn firewalls that cleans your cookie everytime you goto a new page, well that sux.... :( hopefully we'll see u around once in awhile then :D
