1970 cougar

i have a 1970 cougar with a 351 C. and a T5 manual trans. it has power stearing witch is a pain in the butt to work on. but nice when your rolling slow through town. any way i want to sell the 351 and go to a 289 W. does any one know if the PS and T5 will hook right up or will it be a pain. i know they came with the 289 as a option but i don't know much about trading over. any help would be nice. thanks
