I guess you could say they work. I personally would never buy one.

well they have to help some if you think about it as long as is is forcing are into the motor it is helping but i wouldent do it with an electric on just get a regular supercharger even though they are more expensive but remember superchargers take hp to make hp and turbos are free hp so think about it that way and they both cost about the same and require the same maintanence.

Those electric superchargers suck. They only get you about 20 hp, and you have to press a button to activate. It only works for 15 sec when you push the button and then shuts off. And they are about 2k. :screwy: You could get a really good turbo for that much.

Ok let me get this straight, you are going to pay 2k for an electric leaf blower?
Come on, the systems i have seen actualy reduce hp fro normal driving. I hav seen systems where they are turned on by a micro switch on the throttle assemblie. Claims of 20hp are a crock. Cause you loose 10hp just installing it.
You have to put the thing in the intake to make it force air into the engine. Now if the fan is not on then all it is doing is creating a restriction in the intake air. Which makes you lose power.
If you ask me this idea is quite stupid, you could use an elextric fan from a boats bilge area or a leaf blower and get the same effect.
