I have done many swaps before and already have the engine and trans from a 2002 Camaro.
I have ordered Street and performance's wiring harness and accessories for the vette application (locates the alternator and A/c higher on the pass side to avoid frame interference).
I already have their billet mount adapters that allow you to use the regular 3 bolt style older chevy mounts. It also moves the mounts to the location of the old style mounts on the ls1 block so that the dimensions are the same.
I am going to upgrade the dash to the 1998 unit and gauges. My question is since the LS1 and 4l60e have a stand alone comuter can the factory truck ecm, drak, and other stuff be removed from the truck?
Are there any basic body functions such as the sensors from the engine? I think I will need to use the v6 or the 350 stock sensors in the LS1 block so that the gauges will work. I am just not sure what all the factory truck MUST run after the instalation.
