i think u could get a a sealed 12's in there. I am gonna get a custom box with two 12s on on each side (left and right) from the wheel hump back. and the shop said it would fit well with glass and everything

the infinity basslink is clean, small and sounds great. unless you are one of those morons who perfers trunk rattle over sound quality. in that case you could be creative and cram just about anything in there, i know it's small but with the right angles, removing the spare, ect you can get plenty. please, get a good balance in your system don't get beat for the sake of beat I know lots of guys like that.

I have dual 10" Volfenhag Comps, and I had to get a special sealed box to fit them behind the seats. If you want to fit them there then that's the biggest you can go.

Where did you get the special box?

The mustang trunk can't be smaller than the little trunk in my camaro. I'm not talking about the hatch part, but rather the trunk (hole) in the back of the camaro. I fitted in TWO 15" Fusion subs with custom boxes. one box for each sub. If i could fit two 15" subs i'm sure you should be able to find a way to fit them too. It does sacrifice a bit of bass though if earth shattering bass is what you're looking for. Plus, i'm not sure but i think loud bass will be very hard to achieve in a convertible coz all the bass is not enclosed and escaped through the soft-top (sorry, don't know how to put it any better than that). If you want a balanced system without needing to tnue the bass all the time to get it perfect i'd go with the 10's. I just like havin 15's coz sometimes i want balance and other times i just feel like car shattering bass. Guess it depends on how much bass you like.

Ight to get costum box u need to go to a shop that works with things like that. custom body shops etc do that. but they are expensive!!! umm about the trunk rattling thing they didnt put it together right. they need to use doyromat(sP) and this will make the system sound awsome one of my friends gots a tahoe with enought power and such to break windows seriously i have seen it do that. and it sounds freakin awsome but it also cost him about 10 gs for everything!! but about the size u could pry fit 15 do this mesause from the bottom to the top and think u need about 2 inchs above and below sub for the box so if its 20 inchs or more u pry could go 15's hope that helps.

you could just make your own box, if you want advise go to caraudio.com they have forums with a bunch of info, there is a guy on there that will build a very good box for cheap.

it should, but i doubt that it provides decent airflow. check around that site though, their boxes are dirt cheap and they have tons of sizes. get a tape measure in your trunk and see how much space you are willing to compramise.

Guyz, make sure that you pick the right box for the right car AND the right sub. Too many people screw this up and wonder why their $2000 system sounds like shit.

Since you guys are talking about real car audio, check out some of the items I have on EBay. Make sure to click "see seller's other auctions" too. :iceslolan

yeah, subs are pretty cool. saw one guy in an '01 saleen convertible, huge sound system, air bags, custom interior neons and plexiglass stereo housing, supercharger, etc. loud as hell. of course, then we went to our improvised drag strip and he got owned fast =)

Here's a custom box with 2 kicker 12"s firing upwards. He might share the dimensions if you email him.

dont get a subbox because it fits your trunk, get it because it is what is recommended for your subs, it will make a HUGE difference in sound qualily and loudness.

I 2nd that to the fullest. I personally would try to spend more $$ on a custom box for your needs. For converts, normally it is best to use at least a ported box because of the problems associated with converts and sound waves.

I can't get over how large that box is to that link above. I could fit 6 of my sub boxes in that thing :uhoh:

ported for SPL
sealed for SQ
thats the basic rule of thumb

and if you get ported you'll have to make sure to tune it to a good Hz for best possible sound.

"what subs" really isn't an issue. You can put like 6 12W6's in there if you want. I had 2 JL 12W6's in mine. Just depends on the box. Mine came with a Q-Logic box. It fit but I had to squeeze it in and then instal the subs. I got tired of doing that every time I took the box out so I went to wal mart. YEP. They have these nice small single sub enclosures. I bought two of them and they work great. I can pull them in and out with no problem what so ever, and I actually ended up with 5 more db with the wally world boxes.
