Let's talk Beef with Muscle. 443 - Cam; Roller rockers; (1.8/1.00) 20% Spring Pressure increase. Ran 30' than Broke 5/16" Hardened in Guides Push rod & found 1/4" ware on # 4 Ex. Anti-Pushup Lifter, & Maybe the same ware on the Cam Lobe. ---------- Could the problem be the rear cam bearing, in wrong? Not allowing oil?

your help is much appreciated!!!!!!

what kind of engine?
Thats a pretty radical rocker arm ratio. Maybe the valve gear was binding, or there was too much lift, for the rocker arm geometry.

it is possible there is wear on the cam because of your radical rocker ratio...hell, i did not know they even made a 1.8..i have 1.72. anyways, if the springs are too strong o they bind, you'll reduce power because the cam is being pushed on too hard by the lifter. if that happend there is no way to fix it except change springs and get a new cam. cams have HARD heat treated metal on the outside and are softer inside. once the outer cam wears on the lobe there is no saving the cam

also....the oil fills up through the lifter then pushrod and to the rockers...fall through the hols in the heads and back to the pan it goes...with a 5/16th head stud...well...its aweful small for anything above 5500...maybe 6...3/8th is perfect up to about 7500-maybe 8000rpm. but anyhigher than 7500 on regular use get a 7/16
