GM warranty questions.. 2003 Silverado

Hi All,

I have a 03 silverado 4x4 Z71 that I bought used from a private party

Do I have to transfer the factory warranty or does it stay with the truck? Can I just bring the truck into the dealer and they will know by the VIN that its still under factory warranty?

Your vehicle is covered under a 3 year, 36000 mile bumper to bumper factory warranty...the warranty travels with the vehicle (not the owner).
The dealer can confirn the warranty coverage by running a VISS on the VIN number.

or they can just look at the milege and year model and see that it is under warranty
