Transmission Syncros

I have a 2003 gt mustang with about 25000 mileson it and the syncros are wearing out and i keep grinding the gears, i refuse to take it to the dealer to those A- holes tell me that the car is grinding because of driver error, can anyone tell if the have had the same problem and bout how much it cost to do it yourself

Is it tough to put the car in gears when it's running but the car is not moving? Like if the car is parked, you start the car and then put it in first. Does it go into first easy?
