I have a 90 stock integra the distributor is screaming.
Does any one know if the distributor can be taken apart like the one on a 89 fuel injected honda accord?
My honda shop manual shows that there is a roller bearing at the base of the distibutor body that can be replaced.
The distributor for acura is very expensive and if it does have a bearing that can be replaced I think others may also like to know.
I do not have a factory shop manual and the Haynes does not get that indepth.
Thanks For Help Rover2

I have a factory sevice manula for the 3rd gen 94+ & the 2nd gen and they says nothing about being able to replace the bearing. What I would do is take it to a place that rebuilds electric motors and see if they can help you out. Whenever they rebuild any kind of electrical motor they replace thebearings in it as well so they could probably do it for you. If not then getting a used one might be your best option.

Thank you for your time. I live in the Portland Or. area and there is a company here called Auto Adventure (1-800-351-0084). They are a wrecking yard for Honda and Acura only with all cars in very large warehouse. They have been very good to me so far. Anyway I called and he sells a new distributor assembly for $225.00 that includes everything, I mean take it out of box and install.
It also comes with a 1 year warranty. I also asked about the bearings in distributor and he said the are there however he has never found a supplier of the bearings.
Again thank you for you time.
