i need help anyone?(d15b)

i bought a 92 jdm d15b vtec about a month ago. had it installed to a obd-2 97 civic hb. the thing is, i dont have vtec. i had the wires ran with an ex ecu, but still no vtec. and it cuts off at about 5700rpm-6000rpm and waste alot of gas. theres a two wire plug that is not plug. could taat be the gas part? anything would be great and appreciate please aynone thanks
