What is the purpose of these mods? Will they be for a track/race car... or a street car? You will shave off a good amount of weight (guestimating since I dont know how much different the trunks will be), but the difference in weight wont be realized on normal streets. You probably wont even be able to feel the difference unless you're an experienced racer. You would probably be better off just getting lighter wheels, stripping your AC and other accessories such as windshield washer fluid tank and mechanism, power stearing, passenger and back seats.....

I'm not sure. But for a daily driven street car, it wont be that noticeable.

If I were you, I would look in investing in some good 16 or 15inch, light weight racing wheels. Wheels make ALOT more of a difference when it comes to wieght.

Yes it will... same as driving a passenger around, then after dropping them off the car picks up quicker. Glass is about the heaviest material on the car (per mass) so swapping that out for lexan would shave off like 75-100lbs, but look uglier than shit for a daily driver.. plus road debris will hurt it more. If your car's not black, a cf trunk will look like ass too, but the cf hood would be cool. With all this money for shaving weight you could keep all these luxuries and do an engine swap though.. :2cents:

You will definately notice the wt diff, I'm not sure how much you'll lose but your ride sounds sick, lots of fun. i got a coupe with a b18c, and I'm gettin ready for the 20g i just bought to go in. if i had the dough i'd get lexan windows and a cf trunk and hood for now its all go that i spend money on.

Okay.. I stand corrected :D
Didnt realize that glass could be that heavy. Post pictures when you're done. I REALLY want to see the end result. All the of the Lexan window cars that I have seen look terrible. But it seems as if those owners did it and didnt care how bad it looked.

This is my philosophy... I'd rather cruise by nice and slow.. but looking good so all the ladies can wave at me and blow there kisses. If I'm super fast, they wont even see me! LOL
