Thanks to all from a new guy

Great forum, and thanks to all that participate! I have a 99 Z-71 ext cab, that I now see has all of the usual problems, service 4WD, abs continues to run, misfire #8, rear window wind noise, hard start when warm.... Yes, a lot of problems but dealer labor keeps me going the way it is. But with a search of this forum it looks like I have a fix for all of my problems, probably for less than what the dealer would want to have it come in the door for a "look see". Anyway once it gets above 3 degrees out I'll get to trying some of these fixes and let you know what comes of them!

take a look at the spark plug wires they sometimes get worn and go to ground that will make the motor run bad and misfire . get a new wire and replace the one you think is bad.

i seen on here that somebody else had a misfire on the #8 cyl and it ended up being a intake gasket. It sounded like the guy tried every thing else and thats what it ended up being. good luck.
