Looking For Someone That Knows About 1980 Corvetts.
Would Like To Know How To Tell The Difference Between An L-82 Coup And A Stingray. I Didnt Think They Made The Stingray In 1980 But I Have Been Told They Did.
Any Help Would Be Very Nice.
Thanks;
Dan

All 1980 Corvettes were coupes with t-tops. Stingray was a moniker applied on the 3rd & 4th generation cars, except 1968 and I think 80-82, denoting nothing in particular. The L-82 was the "hotter" 350 from 1974 to 1981, L48's being the standard engine. The L82 had some good stuff like 4-bolt mains, different heads and cam, and I think it also had a steel crank. Hope this helps!
