intermitten heat

Hello,
I drive a 1990 f150 lariat 2wd with a 4.9 inline 6cyl. I have had to change the water pump, thermostat, heater core, and all heater/radiator hoses. Now I get heat sometimes and then no heat or very little. The blower is pushing air to all selection positions, but I cannot figure why it is intemitten. There is no heater control valve on this engine or if there is I cannot locate it. The vacuum lines are all connected and seem fine. Can anyone help me as to the source of this glitch? Is there any reason that I'm overlooking or any other problems that I should be looking for. The heater core replacement was rather straight forward with no complications. All of my hoses are hot this is what is confounding the problem as to why no heat!
thanks,

It happened to me one time....all that was wrong was there was air in the line. It just finally fixed its self. So good luck to ya.
