1997 Jetta Interior Light Question

I was just wondering if anyone has heater control knobs that light up? Mine don't, I don't know if it is suppost to be like that, or if I have a bulb out. Seems stupid the heater controls wouldn't be lighted.

Mine used to light up but when I got my system installed along with a new head unit, the lights just suddenly went away...

Hmmmmm. Makes sence, The stereo was not the stock one when I bought it. I wonder if it can be fixed?

I had the same problem on my jetta when i first bought it used, i was not too sure if they were supposed to light up. well i took out the knobs and centre panel and there is a little light bulb in the centre that and an assortment of plastic pieces that illuminate the cluster, i changed the bulb and problem solved.
