I'm a Newbie.
Have a '97 SSEi. The owners manual says that I am supposed to change the S/Charger oil after 50,000 miles. Can't find the fill and drain access. Manual says nothing. My local mechanic says he has never done it. "Don't fix what ain't broke." Oh, Great. Can anybody tell me where and what kind of oil to use?
Thanks.

There is a small cap on the side of the supercharger near the back. You have to have a hex key to remove that cap. I bought my Supercharger oil from the dealer. I could not find it being sold anywhere else. It comes in a small bottle. Costs 5-6 dollars. You then carefully squirt the oil into the small hole on the supercharger. I used the plastic tube from a ball point pen to get the oil in through the hole. I really had no way of telling how full the thing was. Hope this helps.

When I put a new charger on my 92 ssei, it took about two bottles to fill. You need to fill the charger up till the fluid hits the bottom of the fill hole. Long neck chargers take about 3 bottles to fill.

These suggestions are correct, but you first should get a gravy baster and extract the old oil out before adding any new. Attach a short piece of hose to the end of it, to get down into the nose piece. (1/2" x 6" long)
