Could someone plaese help with some advive for starting a cold car? The temp here is -16 with a -28 windchill. The car is a 92 Taurus. I took the battery in the house overnight and the car unfortunately dosen't have a block heater. Could someone who knows a lot more about cars please offer some helpful advice?

I'm assuming that it wouldnt crank hard enough even with the warm battery... Do you know the cold cranking amperage of the battery you have? It may not be strong enough for the starter to crank properly. Age is also an issue. If its and old battery, it should be replaced. I recommend Die-Hard, as I have one in my Ranger and it never fails to start, even here in the frozen north.
