I have recently acquired a grand prix this winter and had to upgrade the headlights because of a burnout. I installed 80w-100w OPTX headlights that i picked up at bestbuy for 30 bucks. Im wondering if there is something i did wrong in installing them because my normal lights seem to be aimed higher than my bright lights and cant think of a fix for this. And could i damage my wiring harness by upgrading the lights to this higher wattage? any replys would be appreciated, John

If you look on the top of your headlights, there should be a torq screw that will adjust the vertical position of the headlights. By turning the screw, you should be able to adjust it to your liking.
As for the wattage for the bulbs, it's been recommended that you don't. The higher power through the stock wiring could "meltdown" your harness. If you want to, you can upgrade your wiring harness at suvlights.com. Personally, when I first got my car, I ran 80W/100W APC's for almost 2 years without any problems. Other's have had varying results too. It's your call on what you want to do and what you SHOULD do.
Hope that helps.

thanks for a reply finally! Ive had the lights on since the beginning of december and havent noticed them heating up yet at all. But ill find out in the summer i guess...its hard to tell in 20 degree weather. The lights are great! very bright and white but when i switch to brights my lights actually go down instead of up so any adjusting i do i dont think will help this...maybe i have something upside down im thinking...thanks for the help though!

I don't know what part number you got for your car, but you may have gotten the wrong ones.
Here is a sight that lets you check part numbers for the light bulbs that will fit your car.

Good luck
