profec b

I was reading about the profec spec2 it says it has a boost display so do i still need a aftermarket boost guage or is the one built in the profec good enough?
I guess im gonna get the type s BOV what do i need to mount it to my factory pipe or to a aftermarket intake?
Sorry about my 1000 questions i just want to benefit from my purchases and i hate having to return shit because i ordered the wrong part!!

With the profec I suspect it will do fine reading boost, but you might not always have it displaying boost, and if you don't have it in front of your face like a gauge, it will be hard to see while driving.

BOV is connected to the UIC piping, not intake. You will need a UIC pipe that is flanged for the BOV you will run, in this case Greddy. From Dejon Tool they are right near 200 dollars. Good luck with that

f**k the profec-b get the profec e-01 and the greddy e-manage piggyback computer. you'll spend about a grand for both but u'll be alot happier

so back to the original question... the profec b-spec II is a great EBC. it displays only boost pressure [in Psi or kPa] unless you are adjustting something. you will still want a boost gauge somwhere on the pillar that is in plain sight. and if you are geiitng a type-s BOV you might as well get the Greddy upper intercooler pipes too. if not you will have to get a install kit for like another 100 or something and since the BOV connection on the stock UICP is one of the best spots for leakage it will be in your best interests to just upgrade.

You could also get a non brand name pipe that comes with a type S flange, like the dejon tool version. If I know Greedy, its overpriced, but I dont know for sure.
