I Have A 1996 Grand Am With A 2.4 Litre Engine. My Problem
Is The Car Has Stalled On Me Twice When The Engine Is Hot.
The Check Engine And Ets Light Are On And I Can Hear The
Cooling Fan Running When I Restart The Engine. I Have To
Wait 2 To 3 Minutes Before I Can Start The Car After It Stalls.
When I Bring The Car To The Dealer. The Check Engine Light And
The Ets Light Are No Longer On. The Dealer Told Me That The
Problem Has To Occur Twice In Order For The Check Engine Light
To Remain On. Does Anyone Have An Idea As To What Could Be The
Problem?

Hhmm my 96 2.4 had that happen a couple times last winter 17.5 miles into my 18 mile commute (stalled when I got off interstate), ran a couple containers of dry gas through and hasn't stalled since. ( I think lights came on for me also, was because engine was no longer running)

i'd agree with chameleon on the dry gas, you might save a couple bucks by just filling up a few times with higher octane, depending on the price of gas where you live

You may have a bad engine coolant temperature sensor. They can cause some flaky problems. Check your coolant level to make sure it is ok.
