Im really looking into replacing the stock exhaust. i am considering the borla and slp cat back. I am wondering if anyone that has one likes it and is it worth the money. Im looking for a good sound and performance increase.

SLP will outperform Borla @ every RPM.

I have borla cat back on my car and I am very very happy with it. It gave it a nice boost in power and has a very distinct throaty sound. It's not abnoxiously lound like some aftermarket stuff, but you will definitely notice a difference. I can't speak for slp, but I know that you get what you pay for. On that note, Borla is a little more expensive, but then again, it's much more widely recognized than slp. Hope this helps.

slp youll like it. better performance than borla, borla pipes are 2.25'' and slp is 2.5'' pipes, better top end and low end torque

I use 2 1/2 pipe on my ga and headers. Also porting out the intakes and port polishing the exhaust helped a bit too , but not very much. Then I ported out the mas from 50mm or 55mm it was to 75mm now after i did that i was tasting the gravy , low end response went up and high end response at lower rpms. I had to shop around for the pipe and used the muffler shop to bend it to fit the same way the stock pipe did. The entire pipe and mufflers costed 200 bucks installed. How much is borla or slp? I dont have a cat or resonator and had to buy an O2 simulator so it dont run to rich or lean.

you can get a borla for 600, dont go to their website its 750 bux, go to www.pfyc.com, or www.doctorspeed.com, and for the slp you can get it for about 380 plus shipping on both, i got my slp when drspeed had the $10 shipping for it so i only paid 390 total, not bad!

none of them do, their both cat-back exhaust systems, meaning all piping from the end of the cat to the exhaust tips, so you keep your stock cat for warranty purposes. its a direct bolt on. if you look into it, you might be able to get the borla muffler only im not sure if you want to go with the borla, but i like my slp. do your reaserch.

i removed mine 2 years ago and still get warranty repairs for free , just not exhaust or intake warranties

I did notice that from the web sites, I can seed the SLP doesn't have the resinator. The Borla does. I showed both of them to my local muffler shop, and I said he can hook me up with a magnaflow muffler, and just do the pipes himself for about $160. Then depending on how much I want to spend on tips is up to me. He suggested just one big bomb out one side instead of the dual, but I like the dual look.
