i could be wrong, but i think thats the SS package. to my knowledge, the SS and WS6 are Z28 and TA's that SLP modified, and sold through the dealer. SLP even handels the warrante's on the parts they installed. while GM warantees the stock parts.

I'm looking at this 2002 z28 and it has those options, although not an SS, no ram air hood, etc, so maybe he just installed them aftermarket

the camaros came with an F-1 package available through some dealers that included the shifter and cat-back exhaust (dual single-side outlet). what i found on it doesnt say anything about a hood. does mention a ground effects kit, three piece spoiler, the 17X9 z rated wheels/tires, and 32mm front sway bar. sounds kindof like the ss package to me but not quite everything that slp threw on em...

I think I may be able to help out on this subject!

The only Z28's and Firebirds that had those parts (stock) were the SS and WS6 respectively. SLP (Street Legal Performance that performed ALL of the mods on ALL SS's and WS6's on the road.) has been selling all of the parts to basically "make" an SS or WS6. These parts included...

- Hurst Short-throw for the 6 Speed cars
- Ram Air box
- SLP Cat-Back exhaust with 3" main pipe/w single->dual tips
- Larger Wing
- Ram Air Hood
- Interior/Exterior SS Badging and registered car #. (mine was 816)
- SS/WS6 Aluminum Wheels
- 275/45/ZR17 or 18 depending on year.
- 255/50/ZR16 for 96-97 Convertibles. (bastards)

I'm pretty sure that's about it. These cars were only produced between 96-'03 and in limited numbers.

Also, for some better information that I can give.. go to www.camaro-ss.com for production numbers and anything else you would want to know.

(I hope I got that list right, I'm sure it's close)

I'm sorry, i checked it again, the exhaust is not SLP, it's listed as SPL, i'm not sure what the heck spl is, i hear it's an options set, but if anyone knows i'd appreciate it, another camaro mystery.

Well one possibility is that the person who bought it brand new ordered it that way. When I was first looking for a camaro I was going to get a new one. I called the local dealership and they asked me what options I wanted. For example they asked if i wanted the hurst shifter and stuff like that.
