Hi All,
I'm thinking of buying a new Prelude (I currently have a 1990 3rd Gen). I want VTEC! I've been reading on these forums that 4th Gen (1994ish) is best and also in my price range!
I'm also a little confused about SI-VTEC and VTEC. I've read that just VTEC is best - am I correct? That's if SI-VTEC exists on the 93-95 range.
As you can see I'm very confused!!!
Also, has anyone got any dashboard pictures of the VTEC and what info does it show? (I love gadgets that's why I love Honda's!)
Many thanks for reading this and thak you in advance for any replies to this thread.

the dashboards are the same, but the instrument panel is different depending on the year; just an analog to digital change.
there is no difference between SI VTEC and just VTEC. both are the same.

I wasn't aware that there's an Si VTEC. To me, the models are: S, Si, and VTEC. Not Si VTEC. But assuming that it is, they would be the same, because the h22a is the only 4th gen prelude engine with VTEC capability.
The dashboard is very unique, it's a long stretch of digital display showing fuel gauge, the hot/cold thing, and the clock. In my 93, Prelude Si, its digital as well. I'm assuming its for all the years.

Thank you for the info!
One very important question now... can I put 6x9's in the back without major metal work like on the 2nd/3rd gens?!
Many thanks again!

I don't know if you can or not.. I just know that if your speaker magnets are too big, they will hit the trunklid stabilizer bars in the back. Mine rub on there and make annoying noises sometimes.
