Picking up my Taurus tomorrow...

Tomorrow I am going to sign the papers and pick up my *first* Taurus. A 2001 Spruce Green Taurus SES, fully loaded, (minus the sunroof), with 34,000 miles on it.

I was going to buy a white 2001 Taurus LX ....but the LX says it all. Pretty much a standard car. There wasn't even a CD player, or cassette player in it...lol. The SES is SO much nicer, doesn't feel as cheap, and drives quite nice. :)

Can't wait for tomorrow!

Bet you'll save a bundle too over the cost of a new one. Hope you enjoy it.

I did end up saving a good amout on this Taurus.

I went to a Chevy dealership that had a used 2001 Taurus SES. They were asking $10,495 for it. I offered the dealer $9,000 for it. They said NO and said they would take $9,899 for it. I said no to that offer, so they said they would take $9,500 for it.

I told them that I would accept their offer, but would come back in a few days to sign the papers with my mother. (Who is my co-signor).

So the guy gave me a copy of the deal they wrote up, and I took it to the Ford dealer who I was dealing with a few days prior. I showed him the deal from the Chevy dealer, and I told him that if he could beat that price, than I would buy from him.

So he showed me a few Taurus' and I really liked the 2001 SES Spruce Green one (which I am buying). They were also asking $10,495 for it. After talking prices, they decided that they would give it to me for $8995 :grinyes: AND they would cut me a check for $351 (for the remainder that I owe on my car that was totaled out).

I thought that was awesome. So how could I say no? This car has everything I need, and at a great price. It runs really good, (but it needs an alignment, which they are doing for me too).

I was supposed to pick up the car today, but now I have to wait until Tuesday due to the previous car situation. So now, I can't wait until Tuesday! lol
