I had a headlight bulb go out in the last few days on my 99 Accord LX. Can anyone provide a link to some easy-to-follow DIY on how to change it out?

Thanks.

if i remember right they are still 9006's.

go in the engine and look at the back of the headlight, if ther eis a cover take it off...look inside and u will see the bulb, remove the base connector then it should say where to twist so the bulb comes out...flashlights help....

get out your owner's manual.. it'll say what bulb you need and how to change it.

Low beams are 9006 and highs are 9005

Some of these responses are so NOT helpful! Skip the manual that came with the car. It doesn't help. Here's what worked: Go in from the engine side. When you look in at the back of the light you'll see the actual bulb base inside a black plastic ring that says "Stanley" on it. It will look like all you need to do is turn the bulb clockwise becasuse you can see the opening on the black outer ring. So you'll try to move the bulb housing, (squishing your hand in behind the battery on the passenger side) and nothing will happen. You'll notice that the bulb ending is pit over a clip, which you might try to remove, but still nothing. What you do is reach in and squeeze down on the top of the black outer ring and turn it counter-clockwise (a little wd40 might help it start to slide easier. Then the bulb just pulls out of the housing.

If you are on the battery side, you'll probably have to remove the battery. It's so convenient!

The black plastic ring could be difficult to turn. You can use a flat screw driver to tap on it. Just be careful don't damage it.

Uh, quit trying to fix cars. If you cant change a light bulb you shouldnt try. Have your mechanic fix it.
