Hey guys I need some help here.
In live in freaking cold azz minneosta.
I car didn't start so I was gonna open the hood to jump start it.
But the hood release from the inside was cold and when I pulled it, damn thing broke. So there's no way I can open my hood. Is it a way for me to open my hood manually? And does anyone know where I can buy a hood release latch without going to honda?
Thanks

ummm...assuming that the plastic part of the latch broke, which also happened to my 98 civic...you can just grab the bare metal piece that used to have the plastic latch on it and just pull it with a pair of pliers. I'm too lazy to replace the entire hood latch cable, so I just leave a pair of pliers underneath my seat to pop my hood whenever I need to. It's not a pain, only takes a second, the only thing thats a bitch is trying to see the metal prong in the dark. Plus, the way I look at it, if someone were to break into my car, and set the alarm off...they would take that much longer to figure out how to open my hood and cut the siren wire :bigthumb: Just a thought, you can replace the whole cable if you want, if you feel like routing it through everything. You can't glue the latch back on, I tried everything, including industrial strength glue from my dad's work. It'll just break off again.
