Aight guys and gals.....quick question. I'm not to sure what the firing sequence is on my 96 talos tsi. I think it's 1,3,4,2....but if not...i also need to know what the core firing sequence is. and while i'm at it....what should the compression be on all cylinders?
Help..need to get back on the street.

I am not totally sure what it needs to be but 1-3-4-2 does seem familiar. Just check your owners manual, I know that mine says it in it. Along with the cylinder compression. Hope this helps!

I don't remember for sure either! My manual is at home in the garage, I'll have to check it when I get home tonight. I'm assuming of course that the firing order hasn't changed though, and maybe I shouldn't do that. My manual is for 91-94 Talons.

My 97 Talon definitely fires 1-3-4-2... It also seems to go through spark plugs like they're going out of style. Anyone else have the problem of replacing them about every 12 months?

Ok, I checked my manual, and for a 1990-1994 Talon, Eclipse, or Laser, 1.8 or 2.0, the firing order is 1-3-4-2. Looking at the coil pack, from left to right, the order is 4-1-2-3. Standing in front of the car, looking at the engine, from left to right, the cylinders are 4-3-2-1. I would think it would be the same on newer models, but I don't know that for sure.

Hello, I have a question relating to spark plug wire lengths. I have 91 Eagle Talon (turbo, FW drive) and was happy to find the order of the spark plug wires. The reply gives the order, but what about the various lengths of the wires . Is it as simple as the longest wire is for the sparkplug farthest from the coils and the shortest length is for the spark plug closest to the coils? If any one could be kind enough to clear this up I would apreciate it very much. Thankyou
