Hi everyone. I have a 1983 944 and for some reason both of my brake lights are not working. Does anyone know where to start looking for the problem? My bulbs arent burned out. And none of the fuses under the driver side are burned out. I would appreciate any help I can get on this matter... Thanks.

I dont have a porsche 944 soon I will..... but for now i have a ssan and the same thing happened to me....look up a "stop light switch" or if not the a "stop lamp" for the porsche 944. it activates the brake lights when u press on the brake its a little electrical piece that maybe goes under ur brake pedal...(im not sure aobut ur car) just look up that product

Follow the brake pedal upwards till you find a switch. Touch the two contacts together to see if the switch is broken. Try that first.
