This is likely a factory option for the Japanese market. You can get the regular styling if you want, assuming you live in Japan.

The Type E was built so that Nissan would be able to use the aerodynamic enhancements they designed for the JGTC GT500 class Fairlady. Since the profile of the GT500 car was so different, Nissan had to offer those changes on a production car as well. Kind of like a homologation rule.
