'03 Denali Headlight Problem

I have my headlight off delay set to 60 seconds. Last night when I came home my headlights turned off after the delay as usual. About 15 min or so later I happened to look out the window and my headlights were on. When I went outside to check it out it was just the passenger side light that was on. I checked the switch and it was in auto mode. I tried turning it off and it wouldn't go off. I switched the headlights to "on" and they both came on fine. When I would put the switch to "off" or just parking lights the passenger side light would flash like a strobe for a min and then come on steady. After playing around with the switch for a while I finally got it to stay off. Any Ideas on what the problem might have been? I have an aftermarket HID kit installed in the headlights and fogs. The kit was professionally installed though. The lights seem to be working fine now. Last night was about 20 degrees and snowing. Could this have had anything to do with it? Also, does anyone know if I take it to the dealer if they will say the warranty is void because of the HIDs? Thanks.

Turns out it was just a bad relay...
