Hey KLD, I love your site and you have some great photos. However, I wish you would not tag your pictures as much as you do because it kind of ruins the purpose of high res. Just a little constructive criticism. :smokin:

They're finally making this thing? Great. I love the way it looks and I hope they don't change anything from concept to production. Thanks for the update.

I am kind of dissappointed actually because I already knew that they were going to start making the Murcielago Barchetta sometime in the fall of 2004. I was hoping to see something else along with it like a 2+2 or a Murcielago GT/Gallardo GT. But I am very curious to see if they have made any changes from the Murcielago concept unvieled in Detroit last year. I am also curious to find out if this will come with a top or not. I see a lot of incredible design possibilities for a top for this car and I think that it would be a shame if Lamborghini were to pass up on this opportunity to make this car even special. Was I hearing right? About half the production for the Murcielago will be in coupe form/the other half in the Barchetta form? If they are planning on buiilding a bunch of these then I would assume a top!

Hello,
please check out the latest addition to the Lamborghini Cars website ... the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster is now presented with official factory photo's and a press release ... it looks a lot like the concept car actually, really nice.
enjoy ...

I don't know, not really a big fan. Somehow it just does not look as good as the Diablo Roadster did when compared to the regular Diablo VT/SV. I mean it is pretty but it looks too "different" than the original Murcielago.
I think a car that does not have a top whether it convertible or targa should look like it was designed that way. It should not look like it is a chopped version of the original.
A good example would be the MB SL or even the Boxter. They look good either way. Where as a 350Z roadster looks like garbage with the top up, almost like it was an afterthought.
