i didnt see it was a coupe...
these are my directions for a 4dr..
Theyre 6 1/2 inch speakers so you know. to make sure go to crutchfield.com they have a place where you can find out for sure. i doubt theyre 6x9's. if you order speakers from them theyll send you a broshure on how to do it yourself.
You have to pull of the door panel clips then pop off the plastic cover beind the inside door handel. to do so you need to take needle nose plyers and pry the clip out. once you get the clip out you need a butter knife or some type of thin metal object to pry the plastic off. be careful its glued on if you pull to hard your power door locks wont work right in the back!! just manually that is, they will work by power fine.
once you get that all done you disconnect the power window line from the switch and then you just have to unscrew 4 screwes in the stock speaker, cut them off and splice the new speaker wires onto the old ones.
good luck

Listen asshole, who the hell are you to come to the autoforums and expect everyone to help you when youre a big dick head?
I TRIED TO HELP but i realized it was a 2 door. I didn't know and i appoligised. I didnt do any harm by explaining the 4 door installation. you have absolutley no right to bitch about it, it isnt our problem you were too dumb to install the speakers yourself at first. Noone here has to help you, shape up and maybe someone would actually be WILLING to help you.

Blazin98,
Kind of a chump, aren't you? How about we track you down and rip your lips off for being such a disrespectful, obnoxious jerk?
I hope you slag your fuses and light your truck on fire.

Ok, well I have the same problem as buddy here. I have a 2 door blazer 1998 and I'm trying to replace the rear speakers. I took off the seatbelt and the clothes hanger and the panel half came off, but at the back it seems as though its connected right to the body. I couldn't pull it off enough to get at the speaker. Mind you I was working after work and it was getting dark. Am I missing something here? Man they make it difficult.
