How long will it last?

Hello everybody, I just got a 1990 integra with 175,000 miles on it as a winter car. The car runs and drives great but I can't handle driving a slow winter car. My question is, How long would this motor with those miles and no other modifications hold up to a small shot of Nitrous oxide? I was thinking a 50-75 shot. I want the car to be a little sleeper but I odviously don't want to blow it up. Your input is welcomed. Thanks

Do not put nitrous oxide on a car with that many miles on it, you will blow up the engine very quickly, even with a 50 shot. first rebuild the motor then consider a low low shot.

The motor is not going to get rebuilt. It's a winter car. Why exactly do you think it would blow up? The piston ring wear should be perfect so I don't have to worry about the cylinder walls being washed.

It probably won't last long b/c of the high mileage. The high mileage tells you that it more than likely has low compresion and leak down test results. It is probably a result of the 1.54 r/s the ls has and also the valves probably have deposits on them causing them to have seating problems etc etc. too many things to list just take our word for it.

Yeah unless you plan on rebuilding it your gonna be stuck without N20, but, I don't see why you would need nitrous in the winter. If you wanna get it faster put on some I/H/E.

I want to keep the cost cheap cheap cheap. Intake header and exhaust is more than I want to pay. I was figuring N2O for about $350 would be perfect.

Yeah it is cheaper, but in my head I keep seeing an image of this teggy hitting the button and the wheels just spinning in slush or something. Plus if the roads are going to be snowy and slippery then having these mods may just give you a reason to go faster than you should. If it makes you feel better make a rice mobile.

Well, there isnt always snow, just tons of salt. Thats why im not going to get my other car out. Im not an idiot, I know when to go fast and when not to. The question was can I do it or not. Not should I in this bad weather. I don't even like imports so im not going to make tghis car rice.

i think that would not be very smart, for one if you want a faster car, putting nitrous in it is only gona make it fast sometimes, becasue if you are going to use it all the time your gona spend more money refilling the bottle every week and trust me your motor will not last.if u want power all the time just get some mods for all the time.
