Well, Today begins my 5 days in a row that I have off from work. (most I've had in two years)
I have all my parts together. Everything I need. I'm dedicated to getting my civic back on the road.
This morning I started with wiring up my D15B VTEC. I'll be damned if this isn't much easier than I Thought it was going to be... with the wiring harness provided by Jason Koehler (http://www.JKOBDConversionHarness.com) for the OBD0 to OBD1 and his great instructions, plus all the DPFI to MPFI instructions I've downloaded and printed out from various sites everything is going quite smoothly.
I had to come home and get my electric drill though because I was having trouble getting a screw out, and I didn't want to strip it because of my hand not being strong enough to turn the screw and hold the screw driver in so as not to strip the head. Also forgot my digital camera... but I'm headed back to my shop again.
I'll update this daily until I finish getting the engine in, and the car put back together.
Any questions/comments, feel free.

And tonights end with me reversing the wires on the TPS sensor...
All the rest of the wiring is done and ready to be installed... soldered all of my connections nice and neat.
Only problem I really had was that none of my wiring at the ECU matched the color coding that was provided with either the DPFI-MPFI instructions or my Helms shop manual... I believe I got the correct pins though... when swapping the plugs I was reading the plugs from left to right then top to bottom... up and down zig zagged like in the helms manual... so I hope the way I did it was right.
Tomorrow I'm putting on the new flywheel and clutch and moving the transmission over to the new engine and put the combo back into the engine bay.
More to come.

Well 13 hours of straight hard work.... and look where I'm at.
My friend Josh, screwing around with his head and my engine... is that a good idea?

A LOT of today's time was spent cleaning up the engine and transmission one last time... and figuring out how to fit the mounts on the engine... cause the damned things just weren't lining up quite right... ended up taking the mount bracket off the DX engine and fitting it on the D15B... then had to modify the plastic timing belt cover to fit around the DX mounting bracket, cause it's slightly different shaped.
After all that was done we took the engine over to the bay and started trying to lower it in.... ended up having to take the mounts back off the engine while lowering it in, because with them on, we couldn't get enough clearance on either side to get the engine low enough to mount.
But... by about 9:30pm.. with the help of my dad and my friend Josh... we were successful!

All that remains is finish running wires in the engine bay... hook up the exhaust manifold... and see if she'll crank!
Woo Hoo!

Well.... not everything can go right all the time.... I've hit a snag.
Have all my electrical connections up and ready to go... all the vacuum hoses, fuel lines, ect. connected... engine and transmission oiled up and ready to go.... start to put the radiator back in when I noticed a hole.
So now I'm paused until I can get another radiator to pop in... that will probably be tomorrow's task for most of the day... cause I'll have to drive 60 miles out of my way to get one by tomorrow afternoon.
More to come.
