I have a digital camera able of making mpg's with sound, but once uploaded to my computer I want to be able to chop some scenes together and add my own .mp3 into the mix etc. to make some cool snow drifting/racing vids of my car. Anybody have something like that or know of a some sites with freeware/shareware? I don't feel like spending hundreds on something like this..

I use ULEAD studio, came on a disk with my digital camera, you could probably download it for free somewhere, its easy to use if you want a 2nd option.

You got a site? That avid program is kinda rough.. A guy here at work told me to check out Adobe Premier, anybody use this?

Yeah I do. Premere is awesome. It is realativly easy and does alot. THere are TONS of tutorial disks out there. I use Premere and Avid, and I would probably take premire if i had to choose, but Avid has its specialties too. Premire was the first one i used and i like it the best. Its worth the $$$, or you can download it from KaZaa, Limewire, etc. for free. :evillol:

If programs like this didn't cost $800 I would actually buy them..

Yeah I know. It was a pricey investment, but I thought that it was worth it in the end. Especally when you get to know it, it is fun and it can really impress people.

I own a computer/billing company in NH. The X5 is mine. The 330 is my partners, but we switch every now and then. The Land Crusier was my old truck that i am going to sell but i still drive it a bit to keep the miles down on my X5. The 4Runner is my wifes, the Rav4 is the company car that my guys drive and T/A is mine - all mine!

If you are or know a college student buy the educational version of Premiere. My friend got 6.0 over a year ago for $150. I need to point out that with the educational version you cannot make money off the video created (like he does) or it will be almost as illegal as a downloaded copy.

If this is the case, then I know of a website: http://www.journeyed.com - that sells stuff for little $$$ if you have somesort of college ID. If may work for high school too, not sure though. They have a lot of high end otherwise expensive products.
