Can't shift into 1st, 3rd and 5th ?

I have a 1994 1500 with a 5 speed manual trans. The problem that I have is that I can't get into 1st 3rd and 5th gears. It started with not being or having a hard time getting into 3rd gear. Anybody have any ideas of what could be wrong? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the synchros are shot, I believe that the 1-3-5 are linked together, but I am not certain. I remember I had a cavalier that did the same thing and it was the synchros. It was under warranty so don't ask me how to fix it!!! :)

I know the front-wheel drive cavalier and the rwd pickups are different machines, so again I'm not sure.

Turns out it was the Hurst shifter, Lock washers were not doing their job. Gonna put the nuts to it!
