97 GC quadra trac question

I am a recent buyer of a 97 JGC with V8 and Quadra Trac all time 4wd. Is it normal for the 4wd to be squirrly when making turns (especially tight turns) or am I having problems with something. It feels like my old Jeep that was squirrly in part time 4wd when on pavement.
