New pics?

I found some (at least for me) previously unseen pics today, taken at an expo i oslo, norway in 1999. (there was no info about the car whatsoever)

It's a shame we can't see the mirrors as XP4 has the old versions still fitted to it. I'm not certain that color is the same as XP4 though, it's very hard to tell with the lack of light and the flash from the camera. The interior certainly doesn't match XP4 though so my bet is that this is a new car we haven't necessarily seen before. Might be #046 - Genesis Blue Metallic or #052 - Dark Blue Mica. Looks to be a beautiful car though!

Do you have an idea where these shots were taken, like which event?

I can read "an expo in Oslo, Norway" - but usually these events have a more official name. Just looking for some more clarification.

Did you read my post? I really don't think this could be XP4 at all. It's clearly a similar blue color though.

peloton's right, it's far too dark

I found more info on this car and just wanted anyone who cares to know that it is listed as chassis #018 painted Midnight Blue Pearl. There was no info on the owner unfortunately. If I find anything else I'll add it here. This car with it's subdued grey interior would probably be another of my favorite F1s. This interior is more appealing to me than the creme found in XP4.

yeah, wish i could see what type of blue that really is. it looks great in the pictures. i think a lighter grey interior would look nicer.

It's definately not XP4 as I've seen them both!
Those are the only McLarens I've seen up close.
Unfourtunately I never got the # of the Oslo car.

There's one more -not so great- photo I found of this car. It's much smaller than these, but the color is more clear. I'll put it up here later.

I found it on a Norwegian website detailing the show it was at. There wasn't much listed beyond the typical McLaren-related details found in nearly every other article along with the photo, but as I said it did identify the 'chassisnummer'. It didn't mention the owner by name, but someone else mentioned to me that this F1 once belonged to Tom Meissner.

I wonder where it is now - I think it's beautiful!
