Transmission Pan Drop - help?

Transmission pan is losse but I can't get it off. There are two "bars" blocking it - the support bar for the tail end of the transmission, and the exhaust pipe coming from the other end of the car to the muffler.

Has anyone done this themselves, on a similar vehicle (e.g. you know what I'm talking about)? Chiltons said to remove the transmission support bar, while jacking up the trans. I can't get the nuts off, though - I tried rust remover spray and no luck, then I heated with a propane torch for about a minute, still no luck. I've got a breaker bar, but don't want to snap the studs, so I'm not putting too much force on them.

Has anyone done this? Should I heat the bolts longer? Or take off the 6 bolts holding the exhaust pipes to the manifolds, then try to jimmy (no pun intended) the pan around there? Please help. I started at 3:00 yesterday, stopped at 11:00, and the snow here really sucks right now so I need the car back ASAP.

Thanks!

My 99 blazer i had to take the nuts off the tranmission mount by the crossmember. Then carefully jack the back of the transmission up till the oil pan clears. You will have to tip the pan a little to get it out.
