I'm looking for an early 70's land yachet type of cadillac. I want a coupe deville of some sort, convertible or not, with one of the bigblocks. I'd like to have a real one, but can't afford it. Probly could afford a kit, but can't find one.
Thanks

The only kit you're going to find of that nature has been out of production for a while and is a really prized piece; Johan's 1970 Cadillac Eldorado kit. It's quite well detailed, and comes with some wild options (McCulloh supercharger, any one?) but it was one of the Johan kits Seville didn't reissue when the company came back, thus it gets ridiculously expensive.
Otherwise, your only other option is the 1978ish Cadillac Coupe de Ville hopper by Lindberg. Which sucks.

Oh well, maybe I'll get lucky one day on ebay.

Aside from the Eldorados and Coupe de Ville that Layla's Keeper mentioned, Johan did annual kits of the '69 and '70 Coupe de Ville, and annual kits of the Eldorado in '71-'75, and snap kits of the '76-'79 for many years. Most are exceedingly hard to find, and expensive when they show up-especially the Coupe de Villes. They are all hardtops only. R&R Vacuum Craft has a resin '69 that is okay, but has no engine. He pretty much only sells at shows, and occasionally someone sells his products on eBay. I have the '69 Coupe de Ville model from him, as I could never find the original kit. There were no '71-'76 Coupe de Ville models ever made.
Here is a '71 Eldorado promotional model that I restored from a total piece of junk. You can find these unrestored on eBay fairly reasonably. No engine detail at all. You want 'em w/engines then you'll pay more-the kits are rarer than the promos.
