I have a Ram Laramie SLT 1500. I went to start it yesterday morning. It starts once but the ingition sticks on the start position. When I finally get it turned back to the off position it won't start again. I got it towen in and the Dodge gealer says I fried a few wires in the ignition switch along with the starter. Plus I blew the 40amp fuse. Total bamage is $650.00. I started checking online for parts cost just so I can compair them to the final bill to make sure I don't get screwed. As I search I run across this site: http://dodgeram.info/tsb/recall.htm I found out that my truck has a recall for the ignition switch possibly catching fire. So now it looks like my repairs may be at least partially paid for if not completly free.

So......Check this page to see if you have a recall on your teuck before you pay that bill. If you have had repairs done check anyway. There is a chance you could get some of your money back.

Ok i just found out I am going to save about half on the repairs. After I get the truck back I am going to call the Chrysler hotline and try and get more back. It doesn't seem right that the ignition switch, the wiring, the fuse and the starter all went bad at the exact same time was a coincidence. They are still trying to charge me for the starter and the ignition switch.
