that symbol would be the water pump indicator and that part would be your water/radiator fluid container. If your water pump light is on, you can tell if the belt is broke if you have no power steering or if your battery light is on. If that is the only light on, you could be driving without any water in there or the pump stopped working.

I guess that does look like some sort of coolant symbol. I'm not at all familiar with your year Talon, but that does look like it could be the overflow tank for the radiator. If it is, it should state clearly, either on the tank or the cap, to fill with radiator fluid only, and there should be a level mark on the tank somewhere.
You have a temperature gauge in the dash, yes? If so, it would stand to reason that this icon or symbol indicates your coolant level is low.

thanks guys, it turned out that the container is the coolant container, there is a very small sensor on the bottom of the container that indicates if there is any coolant left. the sensor was sort of rusted i would say, and not much coolant in there. The light that was keep going on was the coolant light.
Im luckey my engine didnt die on me, since the weather here in toronto is below freezing, there was so little need for radiator, or etc i would guess.
As soon as i put in more coolant in the container the light went off. everything is perfect now.
Thanks guys

The lights in the dash may mean more than one thing. That water pump light probably came on since the pump wasn't getting enough water, it will also come on if the water pump isn't spinning. Another example of that is the brake light; it comes on when the ebrake is up or if the brake fluid is low. Just make sure the water pump light doesn't keep coming on or you might be losing a lot of water.
