98 Ram 1500 Questions

Does anyone have any pros or cons on the 98 Dodge 1500 V8? What to look for when buying it? I am looking at one and would appreciate any help. I own a 2002 Dodge Stratus and LOVE it. Thanks.

the dodge trannies arent very reliable, depending on the miles. if its from a dealer and its around 80k+ miles be sure to get an extended warrenty, i think the one i got is for an extra yr and it only added 25 bucks a month to the payments

I have beat the snot out of our 98 ram scince it was new. The only trannie trouble i had was a streched reverse band that was easily adjusted.(I no longer perform reverse J strips) Truck now has 122,000 miles. I did end up destroying the factory limited slip rearend though. Engine is a 5.9 with gibson headers and gibson cat back.
