Need Helpnstalling Sr20-det In 1998 Nissan 200 Sx Se!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 1998 nissan 200 sx se and I bought a Sr20-det redtop. I have axles and AWD tranny with it. I have a ga16de engine in my car now. I wanna know what fabrications i need in order to put this engine in. The dealer I bought it off of said it was a direct bolt in, but I'm not so sure. Would it be easier just to convert it to AWD?? What all do I need to put this in? Will it fit my ga16de tranny? Someone told me it would. If anyone has experience with this i can use all the info i can get. Thnx.

From what i know the sr20 will bolt up the ur ga16 transaxle. all you need the the right computer, and wiring harness. Converting to awd is unethical. it would add a lot of weight, and as we all know, less weight equals more speed. Plus it would just be a huge pain.

This swap is not a direct bolt on in the SE version. No u cant use ga16de tranny. As for modifications to get it to work u need axles,ecu, wiring harness, tranny(from ser), need new engine mounts and they have to be put in the spots how it is set up in an ser.All of these mods must come from an ser. You should have done alot more homework before u bought the engine. Good luck finding all the parts u will need.
