I just had my brakes worked on about a month ago and yesterday morning on my way to work at about 8:15 my "ABS" light came on and has stayed on ever since. What could this be, and what is the most inexpensive way to resolve this issue? Please advise.

it could be a wheel sensor if it came on after they did the brakes. or it could be a speed sensor that is in the trans

by any chance did they put new rotors on?

Would that sensor be in the relay box under the hood? I wonder if it needs replacing.
The rotors were not replaced, just re-machined. They just replaced the pads and and the calipers. They also worked on the brake booster. (At least, that is what they called)

no the speed sensor bolts into the trans and the wheel abs sensors are in the spindle

do you think that one of those would be the cause of the ABS light being on?

those are the most common cause of the light being on. the most common is the speed sensor but if it came on after having brakes done i would return to the facility that did the work and have them take a look at it.

cool, that narrows it down a lot. I will do that and I appreciate your advice, bigol. Thank you
