I am looking for your advice on building the ultimate sound setup using a Alpine CDA-7995 Stereo /w MP3 Support.
1)What is the best amplifier with the most channels?:evillol:
2)What is are the best tweeters with the best sound?:screwy:
3)What are the best speakers with the best sound?
4)What are the best subwoofers?:banghead:
5)What is the best box for the subwoofers (Light Weight and Small Sized)?:2cents:
I'm looking for the ultimate surround sound in a sport compact car and with a sound system that is top of the line and with complete disregard to cost.

This is all preference buddy. Most channels, why? What do you want yours to sound like, loud or clean. More of which? I have many companies I like. I like Adire audio, CDT, Profile, Elemental Designs, Resonant Engineering, JL audio, PG cyclones are cool... I was talking to a guy about them. Elemental designs would be your best bet for a smaller box. I would go with a ported A series. They are going through redesigning soon though. light weight boxes usually aren't the best, smaller yes, not light weight though. More companies to look into are Infinity, Boston acoustics, and MB Quart. There are a crap load of good companies. We need a price limit. And we need your definition of "ultimate sound".

i'm guess that he wants a mix of spl/sq. so heres my 2 cents:
best subs: i'd say for the mix of what ur lookin for either a brahma, a
w7, or some idmax's
best box: for those either ported or sealed, i'd say: "just stay away from bandpass
speakers with the best sound: well there are some like 7000$ rainbow components with a lifetime garuntee, those probly sound pretty good(i think its rainbow) (in case you didn't know, tweeters are included)
best amp: there are alot of good brands, i'd say to power a brahma, a pg tantrum 1200.1(or something like that), jbl makes some nice amps, always underrated, then tru and all that good stuff. i don't know why most chanells is an issue, but i'd say just get separate amps for subs and components.
i'd probly do something like this if had the money.

If it were me, I'd get 2 sealed Brahma 15's or XXX 15's for subs
Focal Utopia or DIY components

Ok my definition of best sound would be very high fidelity and high treble. Mostly I will be playing rock, metal, techno and trance. What I am aiming for is a sound so good it sounds live and clear. Basically music that sounds pure and high quality in fidelity and treble.

Go with sr20de4evr's reccommendation then.

Oh and my price limit for me is $2,000.
I'm an audiophiliac when it comes to music and driving so I need a system that is not just kick ass but to the point where it is getting ridiculous and so when my friends hop in my car they can just say "Woa.... damn now that is what I call a sound system!".
So pretty much a system that will impress and outperform others with high fidelity, trebble, clarity, style and bass. Although I am not too big on bass that is just thumpin so much your neighbors would feel it so just a normal amount of bass about as much as hitting a drum right in front of you hard.
There I hope that describes it.
BTW I like how the Tru Amps look they are pretty stylish & powerful.

well in that case, I think a single sealed Brahma 15 on a Hifonics Brutus 1000d (or another ~1000x1 amp) would work
A set of Utopias or BAs on a Tru T-2.100 would be a very nice front stage as well
For that setup you're looking at around $1800 shipped, lol

Hey about that 2.100 Tru Amp which is here on this site: http://www.soundpressure.no/TRU.htm
It's the first one on the page but I was wondering about the others below... Are those any better? What about the T-2.200v2?

That would be nice, but it might put out a bit too much power. From what I've heard, the T-2.100 puts out closer to 160-170x2. Going by that the 2.200 would put out like 320x2.

i would also have to recommend a brahma either a 12 or a 15 whatever you have room for, if you give either 1000 watts they will give you what your looking for. i would probly recommendlike a pg 1200.1 tantrum puts 1200 watts at 4 ohms and its around 360 new.
tru's got some good amps, there pretty expensive, but it looks like you can swing it.
and some nice compnentts amped will do the job great.

Most box sizes a brahma uses are not meant for 1200 watts...

Well, nothing too related to the topic, but this is what I sure would like:
Headunit- Alpine CDA-7990 (wouldn't mind a Denon DCT-Z1)
Processor-Alpine PXA-H900 Processor
Xover/Preamp- Milbert TC-4R
Amplifer (horns)- Milbert BaM-235 Tube Amp
Amplifer (Midbass)- Milbert BaM-235 Tube Amp
Amplifer (Subwoofer)- Milbert BaM-235 Tube Amp
Horns- Image Dynamics CD2Comp HLCD
Midbass- Seas/Lotus Reference (6.5")
Subwoofer- Image Dynamics IDMAX/JL Audio W7..either of them in an Infinite Baffle install
Wiring- Kimber Kable, 'nuff said
Sound deadener- Second Skin Audio
:D
anyways, I recommend some horns and nice midrange driver with 1 or 2 amps and a sub. Also an EQ for tuning.

Gsteg, you petty fool... What you don't know will kill you.

A sound processor eh Gsteg? I did'nt really think about that. Maybe it could make a real difference in how good the sound is..
Hey what do you guys think of this sound processor from Alpine?
Alpine PX-H900
http://iweb.alpine-usa.com:7777/pls/admn/item_info?p_item_name=PXA-H900&p_category=160&p_subcategory=&p_main=10&p_more=y
It has EQ Features and a crapload of more jaw dropping goodies.
I could have my CDA-7995 on top and the PX-H900 on the second deck right below it, it would look pretty bad ass.

rcurley55 on the other forum bought an H900 for pretty damn cheap. Don't know where, but that processor is a good one. It does make a big difference in sound, depending on how good you are. Poor tuning will yield poor results. Only get it if you know how to adjust it and you know your goal.

Hey all, im not sure if any of you have heard of a little company called "rockford fosgate" but i have pretty well grown up with them for my whole life. And i have yet to see a Subwoofer that will Beat a 15 Power HX2. My friend Daniel has a single one of these in his hummer (yeh hes way spoiled) and that thing shakes that bus like nothing i have ever seen.

LOL
RF mentioned in an "Ultimate Sound Setup" thread....thanks man I needed that laugh
The HX2 has it's uses, unfortunately listening to music is not one of them

I love older rockford amps :p
The upcoming equipment seems promising. Looks like they are getting back on track. :D

Ultimate bass (spl) : Kicker solox 18" and audiobahn linear compression 34". Both 5000 RMS 10000 Max.
Haibane

The audiobahn is not the ultimate bass, it has no application whatsoever... for the same amount of cash you can do a whole lot better with multiple subs. The 34" doesn't seem to get all as loud either.
It is mostly for looks from what I hear. Try the new Parthenon from Adire, that is ultimate bass.
