I got dicked today.............I went to the local cornerstore to pick up the newspaper. Upon leaving the store I see some guy looking at my G20. I ask him wat he's doing. He tells me that he saw a Ford Explorer flying in the parking lot coming around the corner to park. The explore clips my driver side mirror. The driver of the Explorer gets out, checks out the damage and jetts off ! WHAT THE FUCK ! SOME GUY HITS AND RUNS AND I SUFFER THE CONSIQUENCES ? Luckily it seems that the only portion of the mirror that is damaged is the unpainted edging os the mirror case. SORRY TO USE YOUR PIC MAN but I just wanted to show the damaged part...........DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS WILL COST TO GET REPAIRED AND CAN I DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT ?
I haven't posted in a while and I hate this to be my come back post.
THE PIC BELOW SHOWS THE UNPAINTED BLACK EDGE TO THE MIRROR INTACT....WHAT DOES THIS COST ?

Could be worse I blew a tranny less than a month ago and now I've just blown another one. I think something in my conversion from auto to manual is wrong.
More news when I get to the bottom of this.

I don't know about a p11 but my right mirror was broken in an accident. For a heated electronic mirror on a 93 was going to cost around $300 to replace.

Judging from my G20 part sheets you cant buy just that part.
You can only buy the glass seperate, the front piece that gets painted, or the whole thing.
Drivers side part number for a 99 mirror assembly is:
96302-7J101 if you have heated mirrors ($195.10)
96302-7J100 if its w/o heated mirrors ($185.82)
I'm not sure if the sheets give you the dealer cost or retail cost. :(

I called Infiniti this morning and they told me I would have to buy the whole mirror +paint +installl. Thius would run me up to about $500 CANADIAN. This pisses me off! Where can I find a used mirror or an aftermarket mirror. Are any mirrors similar from other cars?

Try some online car part finders, and phone around Toronto. G20s are relatively rare, but there is a chance they get in accidents once in a while, and you only need one small part.
I've had really good luck with Ahon in particular (Scarlett and St. Clair).
I sheared off a mirror on a friend's Honda once (I was parking it, and not used to manual steering - no power - stupid tree). It was $150 at a dealer, and I got one at that huge wrecker's by the zoo for $15.
Failing that, I know where GFORCES lives, and you can take that one. He doesn't use his mirrors anyway ;)

Yeah and now that you said that if my mirror goes missing I know who to 'question' about it. ;)

Probably the dumbest question but does a 92 (p10) have the same mirrors as my 99(p11)? I have found a p10 mirror but I doubt it will help.

No, I don't think so.
From what I remember, they're smaller.

Just buy the new mirror and put it on yourself. No need to paint, just switch the painted panel... it pops off ;)

And how would I do this? Is it a difficult install ?

I tried finding the picture online but no luck...
To remove your mirror pull on the small black trim on the inside of your door.. just yank it and it'll pop off. Then its just 3 screws to remove.
To do the switch-a-roo, you can pop the glass off with a screw driver and then from the inside of the mirror you can pop out the painted piece. Switch and reassemble.

Yup that was how much the p10 is too plus paint and install would be at least $300. I bought some JDM retractable mirrors on eBay and am trying to get the body shop to repaint them instead of getting a new mirror since it will be the same. The only problem is how to get the insurance to pay for painting my mirrors.
