Hi i get my liscense in 2 days and my dad is looking for a car for me. and my spending limit is 3000$ i want something relitvly fast and preferably european.
But i found a 1989 BMW 325is:
Recaro seats, 5spd, pw, pdl, sunroof, leather seats, new tires, must sell, $2995
are the IS's faster than the I's? and whats the aftermarket look like for this car?

Yeah, thats pretty much right, the 325IS is a 2 door. One thing to keep in mind, milage. My friend has an '85 325e, same model version youre looking at (e30) and it runs pretty damn well at 283,000 miles, but it is not for racing or very aggressive driving at that vintage. No doubt its fun to drive, but not gonna stand up the abuse of an over-zealous owner. Good luck with the buy. Take a look at this site: http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/index.cfm/act/make/divisionid/1595 to help you with any model-related questions you have.
Now that I look at the site, i realize it doesnt have the e30 line-up. sorry for the mis-information, but it makes for good reading anyway.
