well thanks to asaenz, here is one of my works. its not the best, but it is the only one i can find...my rooms a bombsite rite now.
it took around 4-4.5 hrs so its a little rushed but hey. i reckon that this car is just gorgeous.
u probably cant tell what it is lol so heres a clue:it is often referred to as the "baby bull".

please critisize, critique, help, hint, do whatever, but i am only 15 so just keep in mind that i am not experienced. oh yea, the shading didnt come out to well because of the scanner....theres actually a light coat of pencil over the whole car but u cant see it.
thanks asaenz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wut up Tuscan,
I am glad we were able to get your artwork on the web.
Your proportions are pretty accurate as far as I can tell.
I would add more shading (coloring) to the car to give it some more weight.
Great job :iceslolan and keep up the practicing.

I like it! I do not see anything wrong with back wheel, but I do think the proportional is a tad bit off, only slightly though I could be wrong seeing as though I have not seen the car. And you are only 15, keep drawing dogg and you will only get better. By the way what is the name of the car?

lamborghini gallardo. nice drawing man. i just think your winshield is a little dark and you can see the imprint of the pencil. i think the windshield also shouldnt be just one wshade. i think it needs more highlights. good job man

thanks guys iwill work on all dat. about the windshield, theres 2 reasons for there being no highlights. 1-im not very confident with reflections 2-the picture i used for reference was....odd shall we say. there wasnt an easily identifiable light source, or one single place for any of the highlights, and i didnt know wot to do as far as 'inventing' them. is there a technique for doing reflections and such?
jordanmc2399
01-28-2004, 12:24 PM
well usually when you make highlights, they are just random erasure marks.
''of course we can tell what it is''
- yeah well i was just telling tokes what it was

hey dood. nice going. looks great so far. i quite like this one. a few crits thou. the windscreen looks awfully flat. some highlights on there would be cool. another thing. dont press down too hard on the paper when drawing. the pencil lines really show. get a pencil set ranging from 4h to 4b. those are a set with really hard and really soft pencils. you get some nice shading done with those. also theyre very cheap. also you might want to look into markers. theyre an amazing tool to have. alot of fun to use. also try clean up and optimise your sketch in a program like photoshop. you can add touchups really easily and really give everything a nice touch. i hope you dont mind, i did a little paintover for you to show you what i mean. all i did was add a few gradients and layered them over your image and cleaned up the levels. keep ging. i think youre doing great!!!

i agree with everything everyone said here, with the exception of the photoshop editing. In my opinion, a drawing is a drawing, not a computer aided picture, but thats just my technique, if your still learning its best to try new things. Also, about that Lambo emblem in the background...is it erased? If so, you may want to try to erase it more, and if not, you need to darken it so its legible, because as it stands, it really takes away from the picture. and finally, the shadow under the car seems to need a little work, it makes it seem to stand lower than it actually does, anyway, look at your reference shadow very closely, and work on that. But overall, i like it!

thank u...man u should see my reference foto...i dunno why i used it. there is no one light source, its in a black room and the car is yellow. the foto looks cool tho
oh yea, the logos actually quite dark...there even a layer of shadow on the car that doesnt show up, and the shadin u can see it very dark. i figured out wot to do so that my scanner doesnt kill it, i have to change the contrast
thanks for the help
